Taylor's rock edge is nothing new, however. She held her own with Def Leppard at their 'CMT Crossroads' taping, dancing up a storm with the hard rockers who burned up the charts before she was even born. And just last week, she dared to drop a 9-letter D-word on 'Saturday Night Live,' singing in her opening segment, "I like writing songs about d-----bags who cheat on me / But I'm not going to say that in my monologue / I like writing their names into songs so they're ashamed to go out in public / But I'm not going to say that in my monologue."
Looks like Taylor is growing up! But we have to say, her role model status is still good in our book.

agreeed with u bill.. it wasnt a pole dance, and so what if she wore the outfit she wore!! As far as I see it, its stage and when ur on stage its a costume. And ppl do grow up too, .. however... that wasnt a good opening though.. and she not a country singer.

Good. I was kind of surprised when I read this. We don't need more sluts in the media. The chair throwing was fun and then she slid down the pole like a fireman. This is all just news hype.

I also agree . Critics like to fire things up ; She just slid down the pole like a fireman (woman) . It was harmless & Maybe throwing the chair was staged , But either way , its a harmless performance .

It was the same performance she has been doing of that song since her tour started (minus the fire pole as her regular stage is 20 feet high) chair throwing and all. Its meant to be dramatic. Look on youtube and you will find about 300 different versions of it. Its also not a new song she actually performed it her first time on SNL.
